  " It is the True Religion ! "

  speaking to two jw's, separately and days apart, they both weaved in to the conversation the phrase " it is the true religion " .. now in neither case was it possible for me to do my usual thing, piling in with both guns blazing and pointing out that it is impossible for there to be any such thing as "the true religion", unless by "truth" you mean that which is true in your opinion and not supported by facts or reality etc etc.

  my question is : is this mere coincidence, or has there been an article or something telling them to say this ?

  if there is, could someone point me to it ?

  It comes up regularly in talks and publications and at assemblies. Its drilled into jws all the time so they don't look outside the religion. I've had a few comments since I left about it being the "only true religion" and "where else will you get the Truth?". You certainly won't get it from them, the whole religion is based on lies. Just look in the bible teach book or watchtower online and you'll get some info why they think it for next time you chat to them

  Smiddy`s Wedding Anniversary Today

  and we are setting off this morning for 3 nights in eden nsw i think it has more to offer than the one in genesis.. with a bit { or a lot } of luck we will make our fortune .

  God Cannot Lie, But God's Organization Can?

  in the recently leaked bethel training videos, both speakers state that inappropriate flirting really amounts to lying, as if a person is misrepresenting either his interest or availability to another person romantically.. we are reminded that the bible is very plain in its expressions on lying such as proverbs 12:22 which states it is detestable to god.

  so with the example given here, we must have a very high standard in separating what is truthful from what is not.. with that being the case, it shocks me that bethel would produce a video presented to all in attendance at the 2017 regional convention regarding the early 1970's, essentially rewriting history as to what actually happened.. is misrepresenting your past and misleading millions of followers not a much more extreme case of lying from those who claim to reject any form of lying no matter how small, such as flirting?

  would anyone like to add more examples to this thread?.

  It truly is like losing a loved one when you see the lies and corruption within the society that you once so strongly believed in. I'm past the mourning phase now i think and I'm now on to the anger phase.

  i have an uneasy feeling inside that something is coming this year or the next.

  perhaps a new big announcement that turns jwdom on it's head.. we've seen the statement in the watchtower november 15th, 2013 which said:.

  Hopefully they arent planning on a mass suicide saying it's what Jehovah has directed for them to do to be resurrected in the new system and not see the billions being destroyed during Armageddon. Saves their reputation to their followers too apart from those who have the sense not to listen.

  Another option is GB telling everyone to sell everything they have and give it to the society and then they'll just disappear with the money
